การมีส่วนร่วมทางการเมืองท้องถิ่นของประชาชนในเทศบาลตำบลเหมืองแก้ว อำเภอแม่ริม จังหวัดเชียงใหม่

           Objectives of this research were: 1. To study the people’s opinions on the Participation in Local Politics of People in Mueang Kaeo Sub-District Municipality Mae Rim District, Chiang Mai Province, 2. To study the differences of Participation in Local Politics of People in Mueang Kaeo Sub-District Municipality Mae Rim District, Chiang Mai Province, classified by personal data and 3.To study the method of problem solving of Participation in Local Politics of People in Mueang Kaeo Sub-District Municipality Mae Rim District, Chiang Mai Province. Methodology was the mixed methods: The quantitative research used questionnaires with reliability value at 0.0983 to collect data from samples with the age of 18 years old and over derived from 6,487 people at Muangkaew Municipality, Maerim District, Chiangmai Province   using Taro Yamane’s formula with statisticallysignificant level at 0.05. Data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test and F-test. The data from open

ended questionnaires were analyzed by description with table of frequency. The qualitative research, data were collected from 8 key informants by in-depth-interviewing and analyzed data by descriptive interpretation.    

             Findings were as follows:

           1. The levels of Participation in Local Politics of People in Mueang Kaeo Sub-District Municipality Mae Rim District, Chiang Mai Province, by overall were at middle level (  = 3.05, S.D. = 0.36).Classified by sides, from high to low, the findings were that the local politics participation canpaign was at  = 3.19, S.D. = 0.57,the election operation was at     = 3.04, S.D. = 0.47, the political rally participation  was at  = 2.95, S.D. = 0.41, the middle level respectively.

          2. The comparison results were that people with different sex, age, education and occupation and income per month by overall, did not have different opinions on the people’s local politics participation at Muangkaew Sub-District Municipality, Maerim District, Chiangmai Province,rejecting the set hypothesis.

          3.Problems and obstacles and recommendation for the method of Participation in Local Politics of People in Mueang Kaeo Sub-District Municipality Mae Rim District, Chiang Mai Province were that: The election operation; majority of people did not have knowledge local politics participation at a high level. People understood that local politics was still divisive partisan. The solution was to give people knowledge of local political election with well and correct  preparation of local election.  The local politics campaign participation; the problems were that the public relations was not covered the whole areas. People misunderstood about the right using for voting. The solution were that there should be a center point of public relations for election and voting information. The political decision making; the problem was most people had decision making process such as decision making along with family members and kin,   not on the work results. The solution was there should encourage people to follow political information, the work results of the politician candidates. Some parts of information were obtained from the candidates themselves and from the canvassers who disseminated information on the roles, duties, policies, development and people’s problems solving works.
