This thesis entitled ‘An Analytical Study of the Buddhadãsa Bhikkhu’s Ideal Life’ has three objectives: 1) to study ideal life in Theravãda Buddhist philosophy, 2) to study Buddhadãsa Bhikkhu’s ideal life and 3) to analyze Buddhadãsa Bhikkhu’s ideal life and this research is a qualitative research.
The study found that the ideal life in Theravãda Buddhist philosophy is aiming to highest goal, Nibbãna by following the eightfold path to understand clearly the nature of life that involve in rule of Idappaccayatã. For Buddhadãsa Bhikkhu’s ideal life, it is the life’s Instructions of the three wishes to enhance human appreciates in the most essential significant of religion. Making human to a good understand between religions and furthering human by separate them from materialism. It will promote them to attend the Nibana in the first level of Nibana and the highest level in present moment.
The result of analyze Buddhadãsa Bhikkhu’s ideal life was found that the concept has related with Theravada Buddhist philosophy. Practically, Buddhadasa applied described by using index of religion name or giving new using index of religion name replaces the old concept by interpreting of the Dhammic language as a tool to contribute the right understanding to lead humankind attending the goodness. It is point of present. The Buddhadasa’s ideal is important to academic work and religious practice in modern religious pluralism society because it helps human to study and follow their religious.
